What is Kangen Water?
Kangen, in Japanese, literally means, “BACK TO ORIGIN.” When we were in the womb we were surrounded by an Alkaline fluid. When we were born we were born with an Alkaline balance to our bodies. And when we were breast fed we were fed an alkaline fluid. Our natural, disease-free state is Alkaline. But as we live, we slowly become more and more acidic. And the more acidic we become the faster we age. And the faster we age, the quicker things slow down. Even a moderately healthy 21st Century lifestyle can be acid-forming in the human body. From eating meat (acidic) to drinking alcohol and carbonated water (highly acidic), to experiencing negative emotions (stress is acidifying) to not getting enough sleep (also acidifying), to exposure to EMF’s from our phones and household modems, to simply breathing in our more toxic modern day environment (think 5G, smog, radon, glyphosate, every day stress, etc), turns our body into an acidic state. I can’t tell you that Kangen water will heal you but we all know that proper hydration is key for a healthy lifestyle, not to mention how healthy for Mother Earth the amount of single use plastic a Kangen machine will save our planet from.
The Kangen water system electrically restructures tap water into the same molecular formation as what is found organically produced in specific natural environments where water naturally has smaller molecules making it more bioavailable for our cells to absorb. The smaller the water molecules, the greater the hydration to your body. This is not a chemical process – like what you find in bottled water labeled “Alkaline” which has had bicarbonate of soda and the like added to it (which is technically ‘dead’ water).
Kangen Water is ALIVE water and therefore does not have a shelf life and is best drunk within 24-48 hours of being poured. Consumed straight from the tap is where you will receive it’s rich amount of anti-oxidants (aka anti-aging) – the equivalent of FIVE GALLONS of blueberries in one glass – which, when freshly poured, will appear cloudy and bubbly-like – that’s the hydrogen goodness you’re seeing.

Our Bodies are between 75-85% water so we need to be adequately hydrated. Unfortunately most of us are not – and we don’t even know it until we feel what it feels like to be hydrated. I started drinking Kangen Water when I was 46. That was my first memory of finally feeling hydrated – it was a massive light-bulb moment!
HYDRATION was what I had been missing and free radicals were building up making my body age quicker, and be more susceptible to sickenss, than it needed to.
Oxidation (read aging) can’t be stopped. But it can be slowed down with ANTI-oxidants – anti-aging agents. Antioxidants in liquids can be measured using an (Oxidation Reduction Potential) ORP meter. The higher the negative ORP reading (higher antioxidant), the more effective in reducing oxidative stress in your body, which decreases the risk of dis-ease settling into the body.
Kangen water has the highest antioxidant measure compared to any liquid on the planet ( – 470 ORP) which means it’s keeping the body free from free radicals that erode the integrity of your cells. A Positive ORP reading is telling you how oxidative – aka aging/inflammatory – a liquid is, while a negative reading is telling you how anti-oxidative/anti-aging something is.
Where does this water come from?
There are still five places on the planet today where people line up to fill their water jugs with water similar to what is coming out of the Kangen Water System. Those five places are:
- Lourdes in France,
- Tlacote in Mexico,
- Nadan in India,
- Nordenau in Germany and
- the Himalayan mountains.
You could travel to those places and fill your water jugs with the same, high-powered, ionized, alkalyzed, anti-oxidant rich water. And one day I hope I get to do that. BOTTLED WATER
I will be frank here… to anyone touting bottled waters alkalinize the system—THEY TRULY DON’T! I’ve tested them all for their ‘Oxidation Reduction Potential’ (ORP Reading) and it’s simply BS. We’ve fallen victim to the most environmentally destructive marketing campaign to hit humanity. The bottled waters on the market, claiming to alkaline the system, are gimmick waters that have alkaline agents added to them such as Sodium Bicarbonate, Potassium Bicarbonate or Potassium Citrate. These additives do give the blood and urine alkaline readings but they do NOTHING to neutralize the accumulated acidity inside the cell as they do not contain HYDROXYL ions. Nothing else I’ve found produces a greater concentration of hydroxyl ions than the Kangen water machine (not even a freshly pressed juice). The Kangen machine is putting the water through an electrical process, not a chemical process. Also those plastic bottles are not BPA free. The water is poured into them while it is hot and all those BPA’s are leached into the water that you then drink. This makes bottled water a toxic overload on Mother Earth and a potent endocrine disruptor for your body.
What might the future hold?
I imagine a world where one of these machines sits on every kitchen bench… and I sense both humanity and Mother Earth balanced.
